Townsend Lumber Company, LLC

Townsend Lumber Company was established by Vernon Townsend III, a third generation wholesale lumberman. Vernon started his career in 1982, working in his family's business, Vernon Townsend Lumber Company, exporting lumber to a worldwide market. In 2004 Vernon joined forces with Tolleson Lumber Company, one of the largest privately held producers of Southern Yellow Pine lumber in the Southeast. Today he continues in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, establishing his own company to sell lumber both in the domestic market and to customers around the world. Townsend Lumber Company has an extensive network of supplying mills located throughout the United States, producing quality Southern Yellow Pine lumber and plywood as well as most species of domestic hardwood lumber. Since 1927 the Townsend name has stood for quality forest products and service.
